International Roll Racing Association Welcomes JEGS as an Official Partner
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The International Roll Racing Association (IRRA) is proud to announce that JEGS Automotive, Inc. will be an official partner during the inaugural season of competition that kicks off Saturday, April 28 at Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR) in Jupiter, Florida.
The IRRA is the world’s first sanctioning body for the sport of roll drag racing. Roll racing has become a world-wide phenomenon. Instead of starting from a complete stop like traditional drag racing, the heads-up race is started with both cars rolling at an agreed speed.
Jeg Coughlin Sr. first opened the doors of JEGS High Performance in 1960 as an outlet for racers and consumers who were struggling to find parts for their own cars. Over the last 58 years, JEGS has grown into one of the leading and highest growth e-commerce retailers in the area of high performance automotive parts in the world.
“JEGS is known for delivering high performance, on and off the race track, and we are pleased to be a part of this inaugural season of competition with the International Roll Racing Association,” said Jeffrey R. Hennion, chief executive officer of JEGS Automotive, Inc. “We look forward to this new partnership and to bringing the JEGS.com experience throughout roll racing.”
“We are excited to have JEGS come on board with this new and exciting race series. It gives them a great opportunity to highlight their company in front of so many new customers in this wildly popular form of drag racing.” IRRA President Christopher Harris said.
As the IRRA kicks off its initial season, now is the perfect time for companies to become a partner on the ground level of a series that has a strong following in the millennial age demographic. Key benefits of being involved in the series include on-site activation available at all IRRA events to showcase products and services, social media and digital media with pre-race and post-race exposure.
That Racing Channel, which has over 750,000 subscribers on YouTube, will produce pre and post-race videos giving companies even more exposure through the series.
“With the IRRA, we are poised to attract many young fans and consumers,” IRGSE Senior Director of New Business & Industry Relations Dana Landry said. “Partnering up with companies that want to reach this demographic is a goal of ours. We feel this product will grow into an extremely popular series in the coming years.”
Fans can attend the debut of the IRRA at Palm Beach International Raceway Saturday, April 28. Tickets start at $20 and children under 12 are free.
