The International Roll Racing Association Announces Expansion into the Northeastern United States.
West Palm Beach, Fla. (August 27, 2020) – The International Roll Racing Association (IRRA) announces expansion into the Northeastern United States.
The IRRA is expanding its organization and creating a Northeast Division of its association. The IRRA’s Northeast Division will compete within itself. The winners of that division will go on to compete against the winners of the Southeast Division, at the end of the year tournament of champions.
Steve Nestore, the President of the Northeast Division, will control all aspects of operations for that division. Steve is no stranger to roll racing; since 2011, Steve has been hosting roll racing events with his company SlipStream Racing Events.
“I’ve been watching the IRRA since they formed in 2017. I was very impressed with the sanctioning body regulations and class/ licensing formations that were put together.” Steve continues: “I hadn’t thought about it before, but as it turns out, Slipstream and the IRRA have the same passion for racing, drive for perfection, and vision for the future of roll racing. Combining our efforts to provide a larger competitive field, broader reach and combined expertise, made sense to both of us, and everyone wins. As the Northeast’s premiere roll racing event, it made sense to add another dynamic to our competitions. Now, as the IRRA Northeast Division, our winners will compete head to head with the Southeast and future divisions.”
Combining with SlipStream allows the IRRA to continue to create a global standard for roll racing. In addition, gives SlipStream participants benefits such as $100,000 of excess medical coverage. IRRA creator and President Chris Harris is excited about this partnership and future of the sport.
“I’m very familiar with the SlipStream brand. Steve’s passion and commitment to the sport of roll racing was illustrated by the quality of his events. It makes so much sense for us to work united and grow the sport in a professional capacity. His members will now receive all the benefits of being a professional roll racer, and now the IRRA has a true national competition. On both sides, we have provided additional value to our corporate partners and sponsors. It’s incredible to see how far we have come in 3 short years.
The Northeast Division will have an introductory event this October 11 at Pocono International Raceway in Long Pond, PA, and will officially kickoff division competition in 2021!
